Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alonso Murgas started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Nacional De Guatemala's Jhalmar Mena got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 9th minute Alonso Murgas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dennys Leguizamon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 11 in the game by Cesar Rojas from a close distance when the talented Franklin Alfaro managed to make a qualified save. Chorley FC's players were relieved. When Omar Medina came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Chorley FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Omar Medina couldn't finish the play. After 16 minutes of play, Chorley FC's Alonso Murgas made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dennys Leguizamon was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 20th minute, Cesar Rojas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 22nd minute, Edwin Gutierrez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 30 minutes into the match, Alonso Murgas notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Nacional De Guatemala's Dennys Leguizamon. Dennys Leguizamon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Chorley FC's Omar Medina got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alonso Murgas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dennys Leguizamon having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, Chorley FC's goalkeeper Franklin Alfaro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cesar Rojas. Dennys Leguizamon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omar Medina in the 45th minute of the match. After the first half Chorley FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Fidel Noyola made the kick off in the second half. Cesar Rojas might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Franklin Alfaro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cesar Rojas ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fidel Noyola in the 53rd minute of play forced Chorley FC's goalkeeper Franklin Alfaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Selvin Cerna hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After 56 played minutes Chorley FC got a freekick which was hit by Christian Escobar. Nacional De Guatemala's Dennys Leguizamon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alonso Murgas in the 59th minute of play. 61 minutes into the game, Oswaldo Castaneda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nacional De Guatemala's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chorley FC the free kick. The supporters of Chorley FC booed when Nacional De Guatemala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oswaldo Castaneda didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Nacional De Guatemala's zone, Omar Medina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dennys Leguizamon came out of the goal and Omar Medina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 65 minutes into the game, Alonso Murgas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dennys Leguizamon. Alonso Murgas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. Fidel Noyola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Franklin Alfaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cesar Rojas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alonso Murgas in the 77th minute of play forced Nacional De Guatemala's goalkeeper Dennys Leguizamon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute, Alonso Murgas fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Dennys Leguizamon came out of the goal and Alonso Murgas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Omar Medina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
