The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Chichester United's Nelson Machado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pablo Mondragon in the 3rd minute of play. Nelson Machado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pablo Mondragon, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Pablo Mondragon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Nelson Machado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pablo Mondragon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th minute, Salvador Lovo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chichester United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Nelson Machado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pablo Mondragon's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Nelson Machado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pablo Mondragon in the 41st minute of the match. Salvador Lovo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Omar Duarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erick Corpeño in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Omar Duarte made an important save on a dangerous shot by Salvador Lovo in the 51st minute. Salvador Lovo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Omar Duarte made a huge save. The player immediately received a yellow card. Emiliano Velis hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Omar Duarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erick Corpeño, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Alfredo Baptista managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bacup FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfredo Baptista was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chichester United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bacup FC the free kick.
