Januario Coreas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ismael Cetino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juan Alvarado took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Januario Coreas. Januario Coreas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arturo Serrano in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Januario Coreas saved Nunthorpe United from getting behind. Oswaldo Messias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Félix Oporto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristian Alas to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Alas in the 53rd minute of play forced Tottenham's goalkeeper Félix Oporto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nunthorpe United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tottenham the free kick. The Nunthorpe United supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Tottenham's performance. The match ended with a win for Tottenham.
