The supporters of Freshwater booed when UFG ᴱᴸᴵᵀᴱ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dumitru Rădulescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 51 minutes into the game, Cesar Jimenez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Caetano Prestes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. UFG ᴱᴸᴵᵀᴱ's Caetano Prestes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edwin Navas in the 54th minute of play. Freshwater's Saul Mora was substituted for Guillermo Noyola. UFG ᴱᴸᴵᵀᴱ made a substitution. Dennys Rodriguez replaced Edgardo Pacheco. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cesar Jimenez got free with Caetano Prestes in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match was over Freshwater could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than UFG ᴱᴸᴵᵀᴱ throughout the match.
