A well placed Joselito Díaz short distance shot in the 20th minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. After a defensive mix-up in Bristol Totterdown's zone, Joselito Díaz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edwin Corrales came out of the goal and Joselito Díaz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joselito Díaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joselito Díaz let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 31st minute shot 2-0 at rihgt post. Miguel Escalante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Edwin Corrales tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ovidio Barrera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edwin Corrales made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joselito Díaz in the 47th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ricardo Lovo was the one to do the kick off. Edgar Moreira charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 68th minute, Joselito Díaz made a precise shot to the right of Edwin Corrales. Bristol Totterdown's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joselito Díaz in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edwin Corrales prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 74th match minute, Bristol Totterdown was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baltazar Castaneda to maneuver through the defense. In the 75th minute, one of Bristol Totterdown:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Bristol Totterdown. The referee gave Southwold a penalty, 77 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Hector Cruz, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Bristol Totterdown's Edwin Corrales. 4-1. The Southwold fans' excitement grew in the 82nd match minute when Southwold's Miguel Escalante looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Carmelo Padilla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dagoberto Gallegos having to interfere. Henry Leiva kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. When Carmelo Padilla came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Bristol Totterdown fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carmelo Padilla couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Bristol Totterdown booed when Southwold was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henry Leiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ricardo Lovo struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Dagoberto Gallegos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bristol Totterdown. Joselito Díaz scored 6-1 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edwin Corrales, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Southwold fully deserved thier win.
