Waldir Oporto was a little too slow when Reino Lundell got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 6th minute. The score was now 1-0. Waldir Oporto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juan Iigo in the 10th minute. The supporters of CF Deportivo Ramón booed when Guatitlan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Iigo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 14 played minutes CF Deportivo Ramón got a freekick which was hit by Franklin Pinho. Waldir Oporto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Iigo in the 15th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Félix Pinho kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Waldir Oporto. That made the score 3-0 in the 17 minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Waldir Castillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marcos Guzman kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Guatitlan's Allan Fernandez shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 27th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Waldir Oporto but with some difficulty. In the 32nd minute of the match, Juan Iigo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Waldir Oporto saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mauricio Ventura during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Guatitlan's Mauricio Ventura got a free kick in the 34th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Guatitlan's goal looked a bit too open when Milton Salazar came free, but Elias Leiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 39 played minutes Guatitlan got a freekick which was hit by Reino Lundell. In the 42nd minute, Waldir Castillo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elias Leiva was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. 44 minutes into the game, Reino Lundell recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Waldir Oporto. Reino Lundell showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Juan Iigo made the kick off in the second half. Waldir Oporto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Félix Pinho in the 51st minute of play. Waldir Oporto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Félix Pinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Félix Pinho in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Waldir Oporto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, CF Deportivo Ramón's Marcos Guzman got a free kick in the 54th minute. After some careless play in the CF Deportivo Ramón defense, Juan Iigo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Waldir Oporto. The CF Deportivo Ramón fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Waldir Oporto should have stopped the shot. CF Deportivo Ramón were awarded a corner in the 59th minute after Guatitlan's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Hector Peredes took the corner. CF Deportivo Ramón's Hugo Ventura was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Elias Leiva in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The corner led CF Deportivo Ramón's Jorge Costas to fire away a dangerous shot which Elias Leiva despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 63rd minute, Reino Lundell made a precise shot to the right of Waldir Oporto. CF Deportivo Ramón's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. After 68 played minutes Guatitlan got a freekick which was hit by Félix Pinho. Félix Pinho hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. The supporters of Guatitlan booed when CF Deportivo Ramón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franklin Pinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Allan Fernandez, 73 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Félix Pinho in the 77th minute of play forced CF Deportivo Ramón's goalkeeper Waldir Oporto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elias Leiva made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hector Peredes in the 81st minute. Reino Lundell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldir Oporto having to interfere. Guatitlan made a substitution. Carlitos Bianchi replaced Juan Iigo. Waldir Oporto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlitos Bianchi in the 90th minute of play. 94 minutes into the game, Guatitlan's Félix Pinho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Waldir Oporto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-1. When the referee ended the match the Guatitlan players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
