Gilberto Coronado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 20 minutes into the match, Los Chiles's goal looked a bit too open when Gilberto Coronado came free, but Hernan Cisneros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Los Chiles AFC booed when Los Chiles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chunche Mesa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hernan Cisneros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilberto Coronado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedro Rivera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramon Granados in the 35th minute of play. Nery Madrigal succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 36th playminute. Los Chiles AFC's Pedro Rivera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramon Granados in the 45th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rogelio Camacho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute, Ricardo Cantillo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59th minute, Nery Madrigal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Los Chiles's Salvador Maldonado got a free kick in the 61st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Gilberto Coronado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Chiles AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilberto Coronado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hernan Cisneros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 71 minutes into the match, Los Chiles's goal looked a bit too open when Rogelio Camacho came free, but Hernan Cisneros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ramon Granados received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Pedro Rivera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Los Chiles AFC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. David Zamora hit a great ball. The supporters of Los Chiles booed when Los Chiles AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Cantillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hernan Cisneros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogelio Camacho in the 82nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Los Chiles's zone, Rogelio Camacho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hernan Cisneros came out of the goal and Rogelio Camacho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hernan Cisneros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rogelio Camacho in the 86th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ricardo Cantillo during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ricardo Cantillo kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the game, Ramon Granados was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Los Chiles's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Los Chiles AFC the free kick. The supporters of Los Chiles AFC booed when Los Chiles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramon Granados didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Rivera came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Los Chiles's Ramon Granados. But to his dismay, Ramon Granados quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Ramon Granados managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Chiles's supporters rose to their feet, but Ramon Granados was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Rivera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The attack was good, but when Nery Madrigal in the 96th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Los Chiles AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
