Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Julio Varela kicked off to start the match. After having played for 7 minutes, Julio Varela managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cobano AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julio Varela was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. But to his dismay, Julio Varela quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Julio Varela recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Reinaldo Gamboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adolfo Coto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frank Rosabal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Alvin Lopez made a huge save. After having played for 29 minutes, Santiago Mesa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Limon FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Santiago Mesa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Frank Rosabal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Rosabal in the 33rd minute of play forced Cobano AFC's goalkeeper Alvin Lopez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adolfo Coto in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Reinaldo Gamboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bernardo Talamanca's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reinaldo Gamboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. In the 40th minute Bernardo Talamanca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reinaldo Gamboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reinaldo Gamboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adolfo Coto, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. 42 minutes into the match, Limon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Adolfo Coto came free, but Reinaldo Gamboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cobano AFC's Alvin Lopez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santiago Mesa in the 44th minute of play. Tulio Navarro kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Frank Rosabal made the kick off in the second half. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saul Gaitan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adolfo Coto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Reinaldo Gamboa made a huge save. Alvin Lopez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Rosabal, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Saul Gaitan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvin Lopez having to interfere. Jose Arguedas hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Rogelio Guadamuz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reinaldo Gamboa having to interfere. Reinaldo Gamboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adolfo Coto in the 85th minute. 86 minutes into the match, Limon FC's goalkeeper Reinaldo Gamboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rogelio Guadamuz. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rogelio Guadamuz during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Cobano AFC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Rogelio Guadamuz hit a great ball.
