Reinaldo Gamboa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Salomon Obando went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Salomon Obando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reinaldo Gamboa came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Rio Cuarto FC's Anselmo Sancho. But to his dismay, Anselmo Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Baltazar Loria took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Reinaldo Gamboa. Reinaldo Gamboa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. 24 minutes into the match, Limon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Anselmo Sancho came free, but Reinaldo Gamboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reinaldo Gamboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anselmo Sancho in the 28th minute of the match. Leonel Blen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Rosabal, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Santiago Mesa was extremely unlucky when he, in the 32nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Reinaldo Gamboa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Salomon Obando went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Reinaldo Gamboa came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Rio Cuarto FC's Hugo Guerrero. But to his dismay, Hugo Guerrero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Rio Cuarto FC's Leonel Blen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Rio Cuarto FC from getting a goal against them. If Anselmo Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

Beto Kamakiri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Reinaldo Gamboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 54 minutes into the game, Rio Cuarto FC's Salomon Obando nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Reinaldo Gamboa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. After a rather tough play, Limon FC's Frank Rosabal got a free kick in the 58th minute. Reinaldo Gamboa was out of position in the 63 minute of play, and Hugo Guerrero capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Hugo Guerrero really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7. Rio Cuarto FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Salomon Obando in the 67th minute. Reinaldo Gamboa didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Rio Cuarto FC's Anselmo Sancho shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-8 in the ordered_time% minute. 72 minutes into the match, Limon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Baltazar Loria came free, but Reinaldo Gamboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 78 minutes into the match, Rio Cuarto FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tito Murillo came free, but Leonel Blen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Limon FC's Reinaldo Gamboa got control of the ball when Salomon Obando tried to sneak it across the goal line. Salomon Obando could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Reinaldo Gamboa made a huge save. Reinaldo Gamboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baltazar Loria in the 96th minute of the match. The Limon FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Rio Cuarto FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
