Spectators: 9200 (Terracing: 6900, Seating: 2116, VIP seats: 184) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alvin Lopez was a little too slow when Gilberto Porras got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 6th minute. The score was now 1-0. Nicolas Chamberlain took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Talamanca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With 11 minutes on the clock, Francisco Bolaños commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Alvin Lopez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guido Conejo in the 13th minute of the match. Nicolas Chamberlain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rogelio Guadamuz in the 16th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Limon's Minor Pineda dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Guido Conejo struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Alvin Lopez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Limon. Alvin Lopez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Josue Rohrmoser in the 28th minute. Alvin Lopez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guido Conejo, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 34th minute Bernardo Talamanca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolas Chamberlain saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Minor Pineda got free with Alvin Lopez in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Guido Conejo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adolfo Coto made a kick off. Alvin Lopez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guido Conejo in the 53rd minute of play. If Josue Rohrmoser had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 88 minutes, Tulio Navarro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cobano AFC and the Limon players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Limon booed when Cobano AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tulio Navarro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Minor Pineda might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alvin Lopez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Minor Pineda ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 97th minute Josue Rohrmoser shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvin Lopez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Limon fully deserved thier win.
