The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Xtreme X X getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Edgar Rohrmoser showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Keylor Ayala in the 21st minute of the match. Rigoberto Madriz acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 31st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Pedro Villegas. Keylor Ayala received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Edgar Rohrmoser tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 37 minutes, Alejandro Osorio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Xtreme X X's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alejandro Osorio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nacho Blen kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. If Donald Salas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Rigoberto Madriz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rogelio Miranda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rigoberto Madriz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrei Matos in the 54th minute of play. In the 57th match minute, Puriscal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benny Lehman to maneuver through the defense. Xtreme X X were awarded a corner in the 64th minute after Puriscal's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Minor Vilchez took the corner. Rigoberto Madriz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrei Matos, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Otto Pinto took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Edgar Rohrmoser to make any attempt to save it. Edgar Rohrmoser came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Xtreme X X's Keylor Ayala. But to his dismay, Keylor Ayala quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andrei Matos during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 89th minute, Andrei Matos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 95 minutes into the match, Puriscal's goalkeeper Edgar Rohrmoser had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Keylor Ayala. Alejandro Osorio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
