Spectators: 8671 (Terracing: 6800, Seating: 1750, VIP seats: 121) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Baltazar Loria got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Puriscal's Donald Salas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leonel Blen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 4 played minutes Rio Cuarto FC got a freekick which was hit by Ismael Heredia. 5 minutes into the match, Rogelio Miranda notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Rio Cuarto FC's Leonel Blen. Leonel Blen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rio Cuarto FC's Leonel Blen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donald Salas in the 8th minute of play. In the 11th minute Andrei Matos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonel Blen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute, Andrei Matos made a precise shot to the right of Leonel Blen. Rio Cuarto FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. When Hugo Guerrero came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Rio Cuarto FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hugo Guerrero couldn't finish the play. Edgar Rohrmoser took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baltazar Loria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Andrei Matos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonel Blen having to interfere. With a little luck, Puriscal's Edgar Rohrmoser got control of the ball when Salomon Obando tried to sneak it across the goal line. Anselmo Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 35 minutes into the game, Rio Cuarto FC's Salomon Obando nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edgar Rohrmoser made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 42nd minute, Andrei Matos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leonel Blen was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Leonel Blen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donald Salas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andrei Matos made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Ruben Viquez made a precise shot to the right of Leonel Blen. Rio Cuarto FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. 59 minutes into the match, Rio Cuarto FC's goalkeeper Leonel Blen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rogelio Miranda. If Anselmo Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anselmo Sancho in the 69th minute of play forced Puriscal's goalkeeper Edgar Rohrmoser to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgar Rohrmoser took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baltazar Loria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Anselmo Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rio Cuarto FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Anselmo Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgar Rohrmoser breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Baltazar Loria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Edgar Rohrmoser tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Puriscal's goalkeeper Edgar Rohrmoser, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Salomon Obando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Donald Salas got free with Leonel Blen in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice moves Rogelio Miranda could shoot a difficult shot in the 81st minute, which Leonel Blen however easily saved by the left post. When the match had been going on for 87 minutes, Puriscal's Benny Lehman got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Leonel Blen. Edgar Rohrmoser came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Rio Cuarto FC's Anselmo Sancho. But to his dismay, Anselmo Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. Edgar Rohrmoser took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anselmo Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Rio Cuarto FC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
