When Dan Săvescu came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the PANTHER BLUE fans jumped to their feet. Dan Săvescu struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Alvin Lopez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PANTHER BLUE. In the 41st minute Julio Varela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Benat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of PANTHER BLUE booed when Cobano AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Talamanca didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match was over PANTHER BLUE could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Cobano AFC throughout the match.
