Seating: 2162, VIP seats: 188) After a rather tough play, Real Rosario Central's Beto Alfaro got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Urti Caicedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Beto Alfaro in the 5th minute. Tito Bonilla scored 0-1 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emilio Maldonado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Valentin Heredia scored 0-3 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emilio Maldonado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Real Rosario Central's Emilio Maldonado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benito Jarquin in the 27th minute of play. In the 34th match minute, Real Rosario Central was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dennis Guevara to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valentin Heredia made a kick off. Emilio Maldonado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentin Heredia in the 51st minute of play. In the 55th minute, Ronald Peralta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, SPORTING SAN JOSÉ FC's Leonel Guadamuz got a free kick in the 57th minute. After some careless play in the SPORTING SAN JOSÉ FC defense, Ismael Mena kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Urti Caicedo. The SPORTING SAN JOSÉ FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Urti Caicedo should have stopped the shot. If Omar Sanabria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Benito Jarquin managed to get in a good position for a shot. SPORTING SAN JOSÉ FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Benito Jarquin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emilio Maldonado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Valentin Heredia who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 66thth minute tested the skills of Emilio Maldonado when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Urti Caicedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ismael Mena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 76 minutes into the game, Valentin Heredia recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Emilio Maldonado. Valentin Heredia showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-7. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ismael Mena in the 81st minute of play forced SPORTING SAN JOSÉ FC's goalkeeper Urti Caicedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 91 minutes into the game, Guillaume Wegmüller was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SPORTING SAN JOSÉ FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Real Rosario Central the free kick. The supporters of Real Rosario Central booed when SPORTING SAN JOSÉ FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillaume Wegmüller didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 95 minutes, Emilio Lozano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Rosario Central's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emilio Lozano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The SPORTING SAN JOSÉ FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SPORTING SAN JOSÉ FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
