Heroes CF's Zornin Artadi got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Inocente Sovera's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valery Guardamiño was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Heroes CF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xorxe Roman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Domeka Marine was the one to do the kick off. Burni Landaluce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valery Guardamiño having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Loiola Costas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Heroes CF's supporters rose to their feet, but Loiola Costas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Americo Bolde breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Heroes CF's Loiola Costas got a free kick in the 58th minute. Valery Guardamiño breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Domeka Marine came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Heroes CF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Domeka Marine couldn't finish the play. In the 89th match minute, Heroes CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xorxe Roman to maneuver through the defense. Domeka Marine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Americo Bolde having to interfere. Americo Bolde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blasi Raon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Heroes CF were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
