After 14 played minutes REAL GARCILASO got a freekick which was hit by Cirilo Madrigal. In the 18th minute Casomiro Agustin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santxo Lacle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, REAL GARCILASO's goal looked a bit too open when Danilo Freije came free, but Santxo Lacle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santxo Lacle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danilo Freije, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Froilan Costeras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Montes Amor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Froilan Costeras in the 32nd minute of play. If Froilan Costeras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute, Roberto Mujica got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Argider Valenzuela managed to get in a good position for a shot. REAL GARCILASO's supporters rose to their feet, but Argider Valenzuela was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Montes Amor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The supporters of REAL GARCILASO booed when Tumboya F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricart Pravia didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute Argider Valenzuela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Montes Amor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Tumboya F.C. defense, Froilan Costeras kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Montes Amor. The Tumboya F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Montes Amor should have stopped the shot. In the 65th minute Froilan Costeras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Montes Amor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67th minute, Froilan Costeras ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Montes Amor was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. In the 71st minute, Cirilo Madrigal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 73 minutes into the match, REAL GARCILASO's goalkeeper Santxo Lacle had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Froilan Quevedo. Montes Amor came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by REAL GARCILASO's Froilan Costeras. But to his dismay, Froilan Costeras quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. Gonza Junquera hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. After having played for 89 minutes, Fix Careaga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tumboya F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Fix Careaga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Santxo Lacle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Froilan Quevedo in the 91st minute.
