Talaboso FC's Chaime Guillarte got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 27th minute, Silvanito Folgueira made a precise shot to the right of Efrain Mirabel. Cholazo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. With his leg Efrain Mirabel managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when Talaboso FC's Chaime Guillarte fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Efrain Mirabel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chaime Guillarte in the 41st minute. Efrain Mirabel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maore Gayferos in the 44th minute of the match. When Conrado Omaña fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cholazo's protests and gave Conrado Omaña a yellow card for diving instead. After 46 played minutes Cholazo got a freekick which was hit by Conrado Omaña. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Talaboso FC fully deserved thier win.
