An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelo Cachero in the 12th minute of play forced Universitario's goalkeeper Ekialde Viedes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ekialde Viedes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Cachero, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. The Universitario fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ekialde Viedes should have stopped the shot. Ekialde Viedes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alonso Zumiza, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Ekialde Viedes came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by CSS.20's Alonso Zumiza. But to his dismay, Alonso Zumiza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After some careless play in the Universitario defense, Ximen Bodegas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ekialde Viedes. The Universitario fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ekialde Viedes should have stopped the shot. In the 44th minute Alonso Zumiza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ekialde Viedes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half CSS.20 were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Remigio Pisciña to make the kick off. Behe Haedo hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Ekialde Viedes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Angelo Cachero in the 54th minute. In the 58th minute Angelo Cachero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ekialde Viedes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute, Ralf Lindqvist left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CSS.20 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. In the 62nd minute Remigio Pisciña shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virila Borizar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute, CSS.20's Angelo Cachero dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. In the 68th play minute Chan Riba came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ekialde Viedes. 0-7. Remigio Pisciña hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Ekialde Viedes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Cachero in the 80th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anastasio Rujula in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Virila Borizar saved CSS.20 from getting behind. With a little luck, Universitario's Ekialde Viedes got control of the ball when Chan Riba tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ekialde Viedes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Cachero in the 89th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Angelo Cachero got free with Ekialde Viedes in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as CSS.20's Angelo Cachero slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ekialde Viedes. That made the score 0-8 after 95 minutes of play. CSS.20's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
