In the 8thth minute of the game Olayo Ustoa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tongo's Richie Hordoñez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 13 minutes into the game, Cebrian Tella was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tongo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alianza Atletico Sullana the free kick. In the 13th match minute, Tongo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cebrian Tella to maneuver through the defense. When Olayo Ustoa came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Alianza Atletico Sullana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olayo Ustoa couldn't finish the play. The Alianza Atletico Sullana fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when Alianza Atletico Sullana's Olayo Ustoa looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 36th minute Joselito Cieza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richie Hordoñez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olayo Ustoa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richie Hordoñez having to interfere. After 39 played minutes Alianza Atletico Sullana got a freekick which was hit by Olayo Ustoa. Inocente Vedeja could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Raimundo Dolfo made a huge save. Inocente Vedeja came free with the goalkeeper in the 42nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Raimundo Dolfo could save by the left post. Richie Hordoñez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olayo Ustoa in the 46th minute of play. The Tongo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Alianza Atletico Sullana were winning 0-4.

The wind increased when Cheche Gauna made the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, Tongo's goalkeeper Richie Hordoñez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Olayo Ustoa. 61 minutes into the game, Olayo Ustoa lined in a short shot 0-6 behind a frustrated Richie Hordoñez. Alianza Atletico Sullana made a substitution. Illart Braojos replaced Cristian Llontop. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Alianza Atletico Sullana had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
