Cruz Ochandiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Universitario FC's Mario Pintado got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Boniel Ribeira's late challenge caught a Universitario FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Boniel Ribeira helped the player get up and apologised. Erauso Brunet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xulio Tamajon, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. The supporters of Universitario FC booed when SPORTING CRYSTAL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benvide Palomeque didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xulio Tamajon in the 26th minute of play forced SPORTING CRYSTAL's goalkeeper Erauso Brunet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute Cruz Ochandiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erauso Brunet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36thth minute of the game Mario Pintado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SPORTING CRYSTAL's Erauso Brunet was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Erauso Brunet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cruz Ochandiano in the 40th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, Mario Pintado made a precise shot to the right of Erauso Brunet. SPORTING CRYSTAL's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bras Navia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Miro Cortinez struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Ambrosio Marentos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SPORTING CRYSTAL. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 53rd minute of the game. One of Universitario FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SPORTING CRYSTAL:s goal. Universitario FC:s Ambrosio Marentos showed great skill when he stopped Bras Navia:s penalty. 麦潮建 charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Universitario FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cruz Ochandiano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ambrosio Marentos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miro Cortinez in the 77th minute of play. In the 77th match minute, Universitario FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Costante Albaratay to maneuver through the defense. After 81 minutes of play, SPORTING CRYSTAL's Miro Cortinez made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ambrosio Marentos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bras Navia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Ambrosio Marentos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Miro Cortinez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 88 minutes into the match, Bras Navia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ambrosio Marentos. Universitario FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bras Navia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Bras Navia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Universitario FC's Costante Albaratay got a free kick in the 95th minute.
