Alianza AQP's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Curcio Bocinos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 14 minutes of play, UNIVERSITARIO's Curcio Bocinos made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ximun Hurdinosa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ximun Hurdinosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Curcio Bocinos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 22 minutes into the game, Evelio Salgueiro threw the ball into play from the sideline. UNIVERSITARIO's Bartuelo Balboa quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The supporters of UNIVERSITARIO booed when Alianza AQP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evelio Salgueiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ximun Hurdinosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honesto Noguerol in the 27th minute of play. Shantala Mariña took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcos Pedrero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th match minute, Alianza AQP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evelio Salgueiro to maneuver through the defense. 43 minutes into the match, UNIVERSITARIO's goal looked a bit too open when Nazario Hervias came free, but Shantala Mariña reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Curcio Bocinos to strike the kick off in the second half. After 58 played minutes Alianza AQP got a freekick which was hit by Sancho Alcega. The long shot by Mon Antequera in the 59th minute really tested Ximun Hurdinosa's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 62nd minute UNIVERSITARIO were awarded a corner. Mon Antequera went to the cornerflag to take it. UNIVERSITARIO's Mon Antequera managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Evelio Salgueiro in the 67 minute of the game. Curcio Bocinos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Ximun Hurdinosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Curcio Bocinos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Evelio Salgueiro made in the 80th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by UNIVERSITARIO's Bartuelo Balboa. Hulberto Carbajal kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. In the 82nd minute of the match Mon Antequera shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ximun Hurdinosa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Evelio Salgueiro made in the 84th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by UNIVERSITARIO's Bartuelo Balboa. Evelio Salgueiro made in the 86th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Vimaro Zabalo. When Honesto Noguerol came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the UNIVERSITARIO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Honesto Noguerol couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. UNIVERSITARIO had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
