The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Alianza Lima getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Guillermo Libran hit a great ball. Platon Via recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wieslaw Purzycki stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Platon Via's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. Wieslaw Purzycki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Platon Via in the 10th minute of the match. After 10 played minutes Alianza Lima got a freekick which was hit by Poz Mones. Eloi Valle could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Vennancio Valdevielso made a huge save. In the 21st minute, Mateus Garibay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Jarheads FC's Vennancio Valdevielso got control of the ball when Jerold Requena tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Platon Via in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wieslaw Purzycki saved Alianza Lima from getting behind. In the 26th match minute, Jarheads FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gitano Galban to maneuver through the defense. Platon Via sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alianza Lima's Wieslaw Purzycki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Salamon Nieva in the 31st minute of play. Wieslaw Purzycki stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Platon Via's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. In the 35th minute, Bernard Buitron hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alianza Lima's Jerold Requena got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Pepe Argos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wieslaw Purzycki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Platon Via in the 40th minute of play. After 42 played minutes Alianza Lima got a freekick which was hit by Teofilo Porras. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Jerold Requena took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Vennancio Valdevielso to make any attempt to save it. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The audience was convinced that Platon Via's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wieslaw Purzycki was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. In the 74thth minute of the game Platon Via who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Alianza Lima's Wieslaw Purzycki was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Platon Via in the 75thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Wieslaw Purzycki, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Platon Via in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wieslaw Purzycki saved Alianza Lima from getting behind. The Jarheads FC fans' excitement grew in the 78th match minute when Jarheads FC's Platon Via looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Wieslaw Purzycki stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Platon Via's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Platon Via in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wieslaw Purzycki prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Salamon Nieva charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Salamon Nieva the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 84th match minute, Jarheads FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salamon Nieva to maneuver through the defense.
