Chimán F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chilibre F.C. the free kick. 8 minutes into the game, one of Chimán F.C.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Enrique Garcia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Javier Gil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Chilibre F.C.'s zone, Rafael Gonzalez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Javier Paredes came out of the goal and Rafael Gonzalez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Nicolás Peren came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Chimán F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicolás Peren couldn't finish the play. Javier Paredes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolás Peren in the 25th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Rafael Gonzalez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Javier Paredes was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chilibre F.C.'s goalkeeper Javier Paredes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 36 minutes into the match, Rafael Gonzalez notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Chilibre F.C.'s Javier Paredes. The wind increased when Javier Gil made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Beto De Leon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Chimán F.C.'s zone, Javier Gil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enrique Garcia came out of the goal and Javier Gil tried to chip the ball over his head. Nicolás Peren received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Javier Paredes came out and tried to block the shot, but Nicolás Peren slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 80th minute. In the 82nd match minute, Chimán F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hermes Treviño to maneuver through the defense. In the 88th minute Reinaldo Escalona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Javier Gil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chilibre F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Javier Gil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enrique Garcia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chilibre F.C.. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
