Javier Gil started the match with the kick off. 15 minutes into the match, Chilibre F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Lorenzo Ramos came free, but Javier Paredes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Lorenzo Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wiliam Villalaz hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Orlando Castro charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Orlando Castro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 25 played minutes Chilibre F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Castro. When Ailigandí's Lorenzo Ramos in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chilibre F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Ailigandí booed when Chilibre F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Posam didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th match minute, Ailigandí was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo Ramos to maneuver through the defense. Reinaldo Escalona got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 1-0 in the right cross in the 34th match minute before Franklin Quirós had time to react. Reinaldo Escalona charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Reinaldo Escalona the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Gilberto Barrera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gilberto Barrera to make the kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Chilibre F.C.'s goalkeeper Javier Paredes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gilberto Barrera. A collision led to Chilibre F.C. getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Rolando Tello hit a great ball. In the 60th minute, José Torrijos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lorenzo Ramos kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ailigandí's goalkeeper Franklin Quirós, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gilberto Barrera got free with Javier Paredes in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Franklin Quirós came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Chilibre F.C.'s Javier Gil. But to his dismay, Javier Gil quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Reinaldo Escalona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Franklin Quirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Franklin Quirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Javier Gil, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. 94 minutes into the game, Chilibre F.C.'s Javier Gil nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Franklin Quirós made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Chilibre F.C. were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Ailigandí for a fine match.
