Spectators: 7363 (Terracing: 5813, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 50) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Beto Ulloa got the match started through his kick off. After 3 played minutes, Sabanitas F.C.'s Matias Ramirez shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Heraclides Quintero came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sabanitas F.C. reached it. In the 9th minute, Jaime Mendieta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Heraclides Quintero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luis De Leon's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis De Leon in the 13th minute of play forced Margun F.C.'s goalkeeper Heraclides Quintero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Heraclides Quintero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Ramirez in the 15th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Margun F.C.'s zone, Manuel Ramirez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Heraclides Quintero came out of the goal and Manuel Ramirez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luis De Leon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Heraclides Quintero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manuel Ramirez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Heraclides Quintero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Centella, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luis De Leon struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Heraclides Quintero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sabanitas F.C.. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Azael Mota during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 33rd match minute, Margun F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Azael Mota to maneuver through the defense. Hector Tijero might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ricardo Navarro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hector Tijero ran back to his position shaking his head. If Beto Ulloa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Luis De Leon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Heraclides Quintero was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. When Sabanitas F.C.'s Luis De Leon in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Luis De Leon made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Luis De Leon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sabanitas F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis De Leon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Beto Ulloa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricardo Navarro came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Margun F.C.'s Hector Tijero. But to his dismay, Hector Tijero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Ricardo Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hector Tijero in the 60th minute of play. If Luis De Leon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 64 minutes, Alejandro Trejos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sabanitas F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Alejandro Trejos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A hard shot 71 in the game by Luis De Leon from a close distance when the talented Heraclides Quintero managed to make a qualified save. Margun F.C.'s players were relieved. Sabanitas F.C.'s Alejandro Trejos managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Elias Chavez in the 72 minute of the game. After having played for 74 minutes, Manuel Ramirez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sabanitas F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Manuel Ramirez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The long shot by Fabio Henriguez in the 76th minute really tested Heraclides Quintero's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Heraclides Quintero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Ramirez in the 77th minute of play. Luis De Leon struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Heraclides Quintero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sabanitas F.C.. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luis De Leon got free with Heraclides Quintero in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Heraclides Quintero came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Sabanitas F.C.'s Lucho Rios. But to his dismay, Lucho Rios quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. 92 minutes into the match, Sabanitas F.C.'s Luis De Leon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Heraclides Quintero narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Manuel Ramirez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heraclides Quintero having to interfere. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Margun F.C. were victorious despite being under pressure from Sabanitas F.C. for much of the match.
