In the 3rd match minute, Guararé was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis De Leon to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Guararé getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Toto Garcia De Paredes hit a great ball. 9 minutes into the match, David FC's Marcos Bultrón broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 17th minute Jorge Ramirez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Murillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcos Bultrón's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Juan Murillo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Juan Murillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Bultrón in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 54th minute, Reggie Orozco made a precise shot to the right of Juan Murillo. Guararé's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Marcos Bultrón's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Juan Murillo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Marcos Bultrón's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Juan Murillo was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. After 76 minutes, Wilfredo Garcia De Paredes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guararé and the David FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Juan Murillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Bultrón in the 92nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Reggie Orozco got free with Juan Murillo in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 93 minutes into the match, Reggie Orozco dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Juan Murillo, 0-6. David FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
