Iacob Chira might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Reggie Peren. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Iacob Chira ran back to his position shaking his head. Romel Pinilla charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Romel Pinilla the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sergio De Gracia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Quirós having to interfere. If Andrés Barrera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17th minute Iacob Chira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reggie Peren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reggie Peren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arxel Izquierdo in the 19th minute of the match. A collision led to Davor Suker FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Jaime Pinilla hit a great ball. Edgardo Amaya's late challenge caught a ¡ NO VAS !'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edgardo Amaya helped the player get up and apologised. In the 35th match minute, Davor Suker FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgardo Amaya to maneuver through the defense. After 37 played minutes ¡ NO VAS ! got a freekick which was hit by Antonio García. Jaime Pinilla hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After the first half ¡ NO VAS ! were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Iacob Chira made a kick off. Reggie Peren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iacob Chira in the 54th minute of the match.
