In the 37thth minute of the game Jorge Paredes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Icantí's Alex Orozco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Alejandro Pinilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 44 played minutes OSO F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Paredes. Jorge Paredes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Alex Orozco made a huge save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alejandro Pinilla made a kick off. Alex Orozco came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by OSO F.C.'s Jorge Paredes. But to his dismay, Jorge Paredes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Jose Henríguez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matias Pimentel, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. 70 minutes into the match, OSO F.C.'s goalkeeper Jose Henríguez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Dely. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rigoberto Gomez in the 72nd minute of play forced Icantí's goalkeeper Alex Orozco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute Rolando Chavez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jose Henríguez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Icantí booed when OSO F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Paredes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Icantí's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave OSO F.C. the free kick. After a rather tough play, Icantí's Rolando Chavez got a free kick in the 86th minute. A hard shot 90 in the game by Felix Dely from a close distance when the talented Jose Henríguez managed to make a qualified save. OSO F.C.'s players were relieved. OSO F.C.'s Jose Henríguez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save OSO F.C. from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. OSO F.C. had won after a very even match.
