Spectators: 7232 (Terracing: 5426, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 143) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Aires Mendosa kicked off to start the match. After a rather tough play, ECUANAC's Aires Mendosa got a free kick in the 3rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Graziani Azcoitia in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Xacobo Ayala saved ECUANAC from getting behind. In the 13th minute Graziani Azcoitia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xacobo Ayala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th minute of the match Nayumbimi FC got a corner. ECUANAC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Leandro Ganado ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Nayumbimi FC's Leandro Ganado to fire away a dangerous shot which Xacobo Ayala despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Xuaco Huercanos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Graziani Azcoitia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Xacobo Ayala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Graziani Azcoitia in the 29th minute of play forced ECUANAC's goalkeeper Xacobo Ayala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Nayumbimi FC's goalkeeper Uzuri Carrillo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Faustino Gilavert. If Aires Mendosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. Uzuri Carrillo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Xacobo Ayala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Graziani Azcoitia in the 47th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Graziani Azcoitia made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, ECUANAC's goal looked a bit too open when Graziani Azcoitia came free, but Xacobo Ayala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 55 minutes, Graziani Azcoitia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nayumbimi FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Graziani Azcoitia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 61 minutes into the match, Nayumbimi FC's Xuaco Huercanos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Xacobo Ayala narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Aires Mendosa struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Uzuri Carrillo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ECUANAC. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Nayumbimi FC's goalkeeper Uzuri Carrillo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Uzuri Carrillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aires Mendosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. After 74 played minutes ECUANAC got a freekick which was hit by Méndez Castrillo. Xuaco Huercanos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Xacobo Ayala made a huge save. An unexpected shot in the 79th minute by Xuaco Huercanos got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Xacobo Ayala stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Graziani Azcoitia's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. After 84 played minutes ECUANAC got a freekick which was hit by Méndez Castrillo. In the 87th minute, Graziani Azcoitia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
