Alim Emekli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Urtungo Turiela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quintana Tabares, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. The supporters of Pavon FC booed when CD Sotillo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elkin Huerta didn't get a good kick on the ball. 17 minutes into the match, CD Sotillo's goalkeeper Sánchez Alava had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alim Emekli. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alim Emekli in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sánchez Alava prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Pavon FC defense, Blandón Amenedo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Urtungo Turiela. The Pavon FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Urtungo Turiela should have stopped the shot. In the 27th minute of the match Jacobo Casuso sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Urtungo Turiela skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of Pavon FC booed when CD Sotillo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blandón Amenedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 31 minutes into the match, CD Sotillo's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Palikov came free, but Sánchez Alava reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sánchez Alava made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Alim Emekli sent off a good shot on target. Alim Emekli who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of Sánchez Alava when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Alim Emeklis short, quick shot in the 41stth minute got Sánchez Alava to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Pavon FC's Alim Emekli got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zaquiel Ligero kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Antonio Hermida took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 47th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sánchez Alava. CD Sotillo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Quintana Tabares made a kick off. With a little luck, Pavon FC's Urtungo Turiela got control of the ball when Bagui Menendez tried to sneak it across the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, CD Sotillo's goal looked a bit too open when Alim Emekli came free, but Sánchez Alava reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alim Emekli scored 3-1 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sánchez Alava, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alim Emekli in the 79th minute of play forced CD Sotillo's goalkeeper Sánchez Alava to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Alim Emekli came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Pavon FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alim Emekli couldn't finish the play. Alfredo Tamaron's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sánchez Alava read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. If Alim Emekli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pavon FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
