Alfredo Martines who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of López Aubets when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Polo Basabe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Isaias Castellana's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. In the 24th minute, Szymon Bakes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind CD Sangolqui's goalkeeper López Aubets, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Jose Garmendia fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dark Side FC's protests and gave Jose Garmendia a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Dark Side FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Jose Garmendia hit a great ball. 34 minutes into the match, CD Sangolqui's goalkeeper López Aubets had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Xoan Neira. CD Sangolqui's López Aubets played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Martines in the 36th minute of play. Efrain Riego hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. López Aubets came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Dark Side FC's Xoan Neira. But to his dismay, Xoan Neira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

53 minutes into the game, one of Dark Side FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Geovanny Lavet walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. López Aubets showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marquez Carbajal in the 56th minute of the match. In the 59th match minute, Dark Side FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Szymon Bakes to maneuver through the defense. When Efrain Riego fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. López Aubets didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Xoan Neira went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. In the 94th minute, Xusto Ciaran left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CD Sangolqui fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Dark Side FC fully deserved thier win.
