He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Blue Lightning FC reached it. Blue Lightning FC's César Macías managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Zarbonin Toledo in the 21 minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cortez Lidon in the 27th minute of play forced Blue Lightning FC's goalkeeper Reasco Cucho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Diego Treceño notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Blue Lightning FC's Reasco Cucho. Reasco Cucho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Joffre Alamea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cortez Carrozal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauricio Helica, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ugaitz Cuadrado in the 41st minute of play forced Blue Lightning FC's goalkeeper Reasco Cucho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Georgi Granados had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Diego Treceño to make the kick off. When Diego Treceño fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gunners's protests and gave Diego Treceño a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Blue Lightning FC booed when Gunners was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Treceño didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Joffre Alamea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ugaitz Cuadrados short, quick shot in the 60thth minute got Reasco Cucho to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Cortez Carrozal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71st minute César Macías shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cortez Carrozal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ricardo Coco charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ricardo Coco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Gunners getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Ricardo Coco hit a great ball. César Macías received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Cortez Carrozal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. César Macías fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cortez Carrozal having to interfere. César Macías recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, César Macías managed to get in a good position for a shot. Blue Lightning FC's supporters rose to their feet, but César Macías was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cortez Carrozal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ugaitz Cuadrado got free with Reasco Cucho in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Blue Lightning FC's Marcos Macias got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Joffre Alamea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Although Blue Lightning FC had been in control for most of the match, Gunners still came away with the win.
