Urko Salsoro started the match with the kick off. Quiñónez Lezarazo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anangonó Caldueño having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Marco Loyola managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Deportivo Puyaburo's supporters rose to their feet, but Marco Loyola was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anangonó Caldueño breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Quiñónez Lezarazo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anangonó Caldueño having to interfere. In the 11th minute of the match Ximenes Movellan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Anangonó Caldueño skillfully saved the ball. In the 16th match minute, Barca FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Lazcano to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Barca FC's zone, Luis Orive stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anangonó Caldueño came out of the goal and Luis Orive tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Quiñónez Lezarazo in the 20th minute of play forced Barca FC's goalkeeper Anangonó Caldueño to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute, Quiñónez Lezarazo made a precise shot to the right of Anangonó Caldueño. Barca FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After 26 minutes, Patricio Lazcano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barca FC and the Club Deportivo Puyaburo players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Quiñónez Lezarazo sped through Barca FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Anangonó Caldueño. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urko Salsoro in the 40th minute of play forced Club Deportivo Puyaburo's goalkeeper Sergio Laorden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute, Barca FC's Estacio Tizon dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Quiñónez Lezarazo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Barca FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Zayveon Cachurro fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Quiñónez Lezarazo in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anangonó Caldueño saved Barca FC from getting behind. Quiñónez Lezarazo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anangonó Caldueño read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. A collision led to Barca FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Adolfo Barbosa hit a great ball. In the 67th minute, Estacio Tizon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 70thth minute of the game Quiñónez Lezarazo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barca FC's Anangonó Caldueño was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Anangonó Caldueño stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Quiñónez Lezarazo's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Raul Ceraso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Anangonó Caldueño tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anangonó Caldueño stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Quiñónez Lezarazo's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. An unexpected shot in the 84th minute by Quiñónez Lezarazo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a little luck, Barca FC's Anangonó Caldueño got control of the ball when Quiñónez Lezarazo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Quiñónez Lezarazo struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Anangonó Caldueño didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Deportivo Puyaburo. Marco Loyola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Club Deportivo Puyaburo's Quiñónez Lezarazo got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Club Deportivo Puyaburo played a much better game than Barca FC and deserved their victory. The Barca FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
