The audience thought a goal was coming when Moises Anel got free with Rodolfo Cubillo in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 10th minute Pablo Principe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodolfo Cubillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Garibay kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atletico Xeneize's zone, Mina Carretero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abdulbaki Binalp came out of the goal and Mina Carretero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atletico Xeneize's goalkeeper Abdulbaki Binalp, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Garibay in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abdulbaki Binalp saved Club Atletico Xeneize from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Olguin SC's zone, Juan Dean stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodolfo Cubillo came out of the goal and Juan Dean tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Olguin SC's Rodolfo Cubillo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Olguin SC from getting a goal against them. Antonio Rendueles kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Pablo Principe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rodolfo Cubillo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Moises Anel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atletico Xeneize's supporters rose to their feet, but Moises Anel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodolfo Cubillo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Club Atletico Xeneize's Juan Dean got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Moises Anel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Rodolfo Cubillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juan Dean recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Moises Anel scored 2-0 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rodolfo Cubillo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Moises Anel was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moises Anel in the 55th minute of play forced Olguin SC's goalkeeper Rodolfo Cubillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 57th minute, Juan Dean ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rodolfo Cubillo was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Moises Anel struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Rodolfo Cubillo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atletico Xeneize. Espinoza Botejara scored 4-0 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rodolfo Cubillo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rodolfo Cubillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pablo Principe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68th match minute, Olguin SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Garibay to maneuver through the defense. Abdulbaki Binalp made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlos Garibay in the 73rd minute. Moises Anel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Cubillo having to interfere. The supporters of Olguin SC booed when Club Atletico Xeneize was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alonzo Principe didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Moises Anel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Club Atletico Xeneize walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
