An unexpectedly hard shot by Edson Diz in the 4th minute of play forced Colgate F.C.'s goalkeeper Villota Quejura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Villota Quejura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edson Diz, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Villota Quejura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edson Diz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes into the match, Xamo Suane had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Villota Quejura. Colgate F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Xamo Suane was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Villota Quejura stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edson Diz's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Fabio Pujargimon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Villota Quejura having to interfere. Limonal FC's Camilo Ortiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 叶钢树 in the 32nd minute of play. After 38 played minutes Colgate F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Ur Capitillo. Xamo Suane struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Villota Quejura didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Limonal FC. When the match clock showed 46 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Edson Diz sped through Colgate F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Villota Quejura. After the first half Limonal FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edson Diz to make the kick off. In the 55th match minute, Colgate F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Sojo to maneuver through the defense. Villota Quejura made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Edson Diz sent off a good shot on target. 57 minutes into the match, Colgate F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Edson Diz came free, but Villota Quejura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Colgate F.C. getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Teofilo Castañera hit a great ball. Edson Diz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Villota Quejura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd minute Xamo Suane shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Villota Quejura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Villota Quejura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edson Diz in the 66th minute of play. In the 69th match minute, Limonal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Huera to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Urbez Rossell in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Camilo Ortiz saved Limonal FC from getting behind. If Valiente Mayoral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Camilo Ortiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 叶钢树 in the 79th minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, Edson Diz dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Villota Quejura, 0-4. Fabio Pujargimon might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Villota Quejura. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fabio Pujargimon ran back to his position shaking his head. Edson Diz got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 0-5 in the right cross in the 87th match minute before Villota Quejura had time to react. The throw-in from Batista Gandulla in the 96th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Colgate F.C.'s Valiente Mayoral.
