Spectators: 7406 (Terracing: 5555, Seating: 1703, VIP seats: 148) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Urtsua Fontecavada started the match with the kick off. Chiriboga Iraegui took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernando Valiente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 4 minutes into the game, Esteban Bonjoch recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Chiriboga Iraegui. Esteban Bonjoch showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Chiriboga Iraegui showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Esteban Bonjoch, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Hernando Valiente struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Chiriboga Iraegui didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Calichana FC. 11 minutes into the match, Orellana Sporting Club's goal looked a bit too open when Esteban Bonjoch came free, but Chiriboga Iraegui reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marlon Cascales could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Chiriboga Iraegui made a huge save. Chiriboga Iraegui made an important save on a dangerous shot by Urtsua Fontecavada in the 17th minute. Hernando Valiente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Chiriboga Iraegui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The nice shot from Esteban Bonjoch in the 22ndth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Chiriboga Iraegui had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. In the 23rd minute of the match, Urtsua Fontecavada got a very nice opportunity to score, but Chiriboga Iraegui was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Urtsua Fontecavada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Chiriboga Iraegui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Chiriboga Iraegui managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when Calichana FC's Urtsua Fontecavada fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Chiriboga Iraegui made an important save on a dangerous shot by Urtsua Fontecavada in the 36th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Hernando Valiente kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Chiriboga Iraegui. That made the score 3-0 in the 43 minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The wind increased when León Bruna made the kick off in the second half. Urtsua Fontecavada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Chiriboga Iraegui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urtsua Fontecavada in the 54th minute of play forced Orellana Sporting Club's goalkeeper Chiriboga Iraegui to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Urtsua Fontecavada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chiriboga Iraegui having to interfere. Chiriboga Iraegui made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernando Valiente in the 57th minute of play. Orellana Sporting Club's Chiriboga Iraegui played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hernando Valiente in the 59th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Urtsua Fontecavada notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Orellana Sporting Club's Chiriboga Iraegui. Chiriboga Iraegui was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 64 minutes into the match, Orellana Sporting Club's goal looked a bit too open when Urtsua Fontecavada came free, but Chiriboga Iraegui reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chiriboga Iraegui made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernando Valiente in the 66th minute of play. 67 minutes into the game, Calichana FC's Urtsua Fontecavada nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Chiriboga Iraegui made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. After 70 minutes of play, Calichana FC's Urtsua Fontecavada made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Chiriboga Iraegui was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Orellana Sporting Club's zone, Hernando Valiente stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chiriboga Iraegui came out of the goal and Hernando Valiente tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 75 minutes into the game, Calichana FC's Urtsua Fontecavada nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Chiriboga Iraegui made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. Hernando Valiente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Urtsua Fontecavada's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Chiriboga Iraegui read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. When Parisi Argos fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Calichana FC's protests and gave Parisi Argos a yellow card for diving instead. After a defensive mix-up in Orellana Sporting Club's zone, Urtsua Fontecavada stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chiriboga Iraegui came out of the goal and Urtsua Fontecavada tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Orellana Sporting Club getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Armando Gatell hit a great ball. Urtsua Fontecavada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chiriboga Iraegui having to interfere. If Hernando Valiente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Urtsua Fontecavada in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Chiriboga Iraegui prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 95thth minute of the game Urtsua Fontecavada who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Orellana Sporting Club's Chiriboga Iraegui was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the referee ended the match the Calichana FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
