In the 7th minute, Erwin Valderramal reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mina Saens. The goal made the score 1-0. Luciano Zotillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Calisto Aviles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice moves Fabio Relloso could shoot a difficult shot in the 31st minute, which Mina Saens however easily saved by the left post. In the 35th minute Erwin Valderramal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mina Saens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador FC's Xesus Sever slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Luciano Zotillo. That made the score 2-1 after 52 minutes of play. In the 57th minute, Reyes del Sur's Cortez Seña seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Cortez Seña the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Reyes del Sur protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Cortez Seña had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Luciano Zotillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Calisto Aviles, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Reyes del Sur's Ignacio Lebrato tried to score from far away in the 72nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The long shot by Urdaspal Terrilla in the 75th minute really tested Luciano Zotillo's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 79 minutes into the match, Reyes del Sur's goalkeeper Luciano Zotillo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erwin Hudobro. Mina Saens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erwin Valderramal in the 82nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador FC's zone, Héctor Belaunde stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mina Saens came out of the goal and Héctor Belaunde tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erwin Valderramal in the 85th minute of play forced Ecuador FC's goalkeeper Mina Saens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Erwin Valderramal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Reyes del Sur's supporters rose to their feet, but Erwin Valderramal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mina Saens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Héctor Belaunde received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Mina Saens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mina Saens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erwin Valderramal in the 91st minute of the match. In the 92ndth minute of the game Héctor Belaunde who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador FC's Mina Saens was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
