When the match clock showed 13 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Henry Jordo sped through Chachacito's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cristian Giraldo. Chachacito's Cristian Giraldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henry Jordo in the 19th minute of play. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Henry Jordo sped through Chachacito's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cristian Giraldo. Eugenio Armendarez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernández Villoria in the 27th minute of play. Roberto Senderos hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henry Jordo in the 34th minute of play forced Chachacito's goalkeeper Cristian Giraldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Chachacito's zone, Marquez Heso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristian Giraldo came out of the goal and Marquez Heso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marquez Heso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Giraldo having to interfere. Cristian Giraldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marquez Heso, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Coltapamba SC's Henry Jordo got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Chachacito's Cristian Giraldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marquez Heso in the 46th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hernández Villoria to make the kick off. In the 55th minute of the match Coltapamba SC got a corner. Chachacito's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Moises Tormejon ran over to the corner to take the kick. A collision led to Chachacito getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Ferrer Folgueras hit a great ball. When Marquez Heso came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Coltapamba SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marquez Heso couldn't finish the play. Marquez Heso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Giraldo having to interfere. Marquez Heso succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-4 in the 69th playminute. When Jacinto Villametide fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chachacito's protests and gave Jacinto Villametide a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Coltapamba SC's Zayvius Asturiano got a free kick in the 74th minute. Marquez Heso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Giraldo having to interfere. Rafael Creus's late challenge caught a Coltapamba SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rafael Creus helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Chachacito's Rafael Creus got a free kick in the 82nd minute. The supporters of Coltapamba SC booed when Chachacito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Creus didn't get a good kick on the ball. 91 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Coltapamba SC's Henry Jordo fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. If Marquez Heso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Coltapamba SC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
