An unexpectedly hard shot by Zornin Albalate in the 20th minute of play forced Sköll F.C.'s goalkeeper Camilo Escarraz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as CD Ceilan's Zornin Albalate slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Camilo Escarraz. That made the score 3-1 after 37 minutes of play. After 39 played minutes CD Ceilan got a freekick which was hit by Mauricio Barreneche. In the 42nd minute, Zornin Albalate reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Camilo Escarraz. The goal made the score 4-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mauricio Barreneche was the one to do the kick off. Santiago Melgar's late challenge caught a CD Ceilan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Santiago Melgar helped the player get up and apologised. Camilo Escarraz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauricio Barreneche in the 54th minute of play. Camilo Escarraz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauricio Barreneche, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sköll F.C.'s Camilo Escarraz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zornin Albalate in the 58th minute of play. Camilo Escarraz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 76 minutes into the match, Sköll F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Aguirre Gallano came free, but Camilo Escarraz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zornin Albalate took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Camilo Escarraz. Camilo Escarraz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-1. 92 minutes into the match, Aguirre Gallano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Camilo Escarraz. Sköll F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aguirre Gallano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-1.
