After having played for 11 minutes, Ignacio Varaona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CAIW's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ignacio Varaona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With his leg Celso Monjo managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when Sociedad Deportiva León's Xines Teran fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ignacio Varaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of CAIW booed when Sociedad Deportiva León was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lavalle Poo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Celso Monjo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Norberto Archuleta showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 22 minute of play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ignacio Varaona couldn't finish the play. In the 37th minute of the match, Xines Teran got a very nice opportunity to score, but Celso Monjo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Celso Monjo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Norberto Archuleta went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Celso Monjo was a little too slow when Norberto Archuleta got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 41st minute. The score was now 3-0. Celso Monjo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Alcubilla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Xines Teran in the 56th minute of play forced CAIW's goalkeeper Celso Monjo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ignacio Varaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter Portochao having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Xian Buisante got free with Peter Portochao in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Lavalle Poo fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sociedad Deportiva León's protests and gave Lavalle Poo a yellow card for diving instead. 88 minutes into the match, CAIW's Xian Buisante broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. CAIW's Celso Monjo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xines Teran in the 91st minute of play. Celso Monjo came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Sociedad Deportiva León's Xines Teran. But to his dismay, Xines Teran quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Lavalle Poo hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
