The goalkeeper, Dannes Lerma, was totally fooled by Xeneize BJ's Gonzalo Guridi, who 9 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 16th minute, Gonzalo Guridi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dannes Lerma was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 19th minute, Jairo Buedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 21st minute, Bagui Soldevilla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 25 minutes into the match, Gonzalo Guridi dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dannes Lerma, 3-0. After some careless play in the Xeneize BJ defense, Santo Cedron kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Chucho Covielles. The Xeneize BJ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Chucho Covielles should have stopped the shot. 40 minutes into the match, Verdansk Football Club's Pedro Soldevilla sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Chucho Covielles narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gonzalo Guridi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Dannes Lerma made a huge save. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bagui Soldevilla to make the kick off. 57 minutes into the game, Gonzalo Guridi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Dannes Lerma was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonzalo Guridi in the 61st minute of play forced Verdansk Football Club's goalkeeper Dannes Lerma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dannes Lerma came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Xeneize BJ's Roque Antuñano. But to his dismay, Roque Antuñano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. 68 minutes into the match, Verdansk Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Gonzalo Guridi came free, but Dannes Lerma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dannes Lerma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonzalo Guridi, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 70th match minute, Verdansk Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquin Estany to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonzalo Guridi in the 71st minute of play forced Verdansk Football Club's goalkeeper Dannes Lerma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Verdansk Football Club's Pedro Soldevilla got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Gonzalo Guridi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dannes Lerma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonzalo Guridi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonzalo Guridi in the 78th minute of play forced Verdansk Football Club's goalkeeper Dannes Lerma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Xeneize BJ's Oscar Coronel got a free kick in the 80th minute. If Gonzalo Guridi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dannes Lerma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonzalo Guridi, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. In the 93rd minute Gonzalo Guridi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dannes Lerma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xeneize BJ's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
