Spectators: 7988 (Terracing: 5992, Seating: 1837, VIP seats: 159) UD Zoo's Marcelo Remolina started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Julio Clarabout stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcelo Remolina's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. Julio Clarabout took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Héctor Iza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by González Ameda during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 19th match minute, Abandonados FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by González Ameda to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute Héctor Iza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Clarabout saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Abandonados FC's Yoelvis Pereta threw himself towards the right post 22 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Valentim Valderramal, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 22nd match minute, UD Zoo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferrer Villamil to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 23 minutes, Veremundo Cuenca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Abandonados FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Veremundo Cuenca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joel Bujan kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Julio Clarabout showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Héctor Iza, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Figueroa Ziarza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yoelvis Pereta having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Abandonados FC's Valentim Valderramal ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Yoelvis Pereta. Yoelvis Pereta yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Joel Bujan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Clarabout having to interfere. Marcelo Remolina kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Abandonados FC's Veremundo Cuenca got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With his leg Yoelvis Pereta managed to avoid a goal in the 46thth minute, when Abandonados FC's Veremundo Cuenca fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joel Bujan during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 47th minute, Joel Bujan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Valentim Valderramal was the one to do the kick off. UD Zoo's Yoelvis Pereta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentim Valderramal in the 54th minute of play. After 57 played minutes, Abandonados FC's Maximo Holguin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Yoelvis Pereta came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Abandonados FC reached it. Valentim Valderramal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Yoelvis Pereta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Marcelo Remolina came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the UD Zoo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelo Remolina couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Abandonados FC booed when UD Zoo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Bujan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valentim Valderramal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yoelvis Pereta having to interfere. Yoelvis Pereta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentim Valderramal in the 82nd minute of play. If Héctor Iza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute, Héctor Iza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The UD Zoo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Joel Bujan got his second yellow card in the match during the 95th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Abandonados FC booed when UD Zoo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Bujan didn't get a good kick on the ball. 97 minutes into the game, Abandonados FC's Valentim Valderramal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Yoelvis Pereta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. UD Zoo succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Abandonados FC had controlled the match.
