Marcelino Ciscal came out of the goal and Carlos-Armando Arizabaleta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edmundo Mayorga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Marcelino Ciscal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Edmundo Mayorga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 35 minutes of play, Silante's Edmundo Mayorga made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcelino Ciscal was left in no man's land by his defense there! 40 minutes into the game, Santos Valdivieso recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Camacho Escobedo. Santos Valdivieso showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Camacho Escobedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Esterilla Nurueña in the 47th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hugo Velazco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Carlos-Armando Arizabaleta kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Hugo Velazco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcelino Ciscal having to make a save. If Hugo Velazco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 56 played minutes Guayacanes Fútbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Walter Bradi. With a little luck, Guayacanes Fútbol Club's Marcelino Ciscal got control of the ball when Carlos-Armando Arizabaleta tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edmundo Mayorga scored 1-2 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcelino Ciscal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lisandro Panadero kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. The supporters of Silante booed when Guayacanes Fútbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vitor Gadañon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcelino Ciscal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Mayorga in the 83rd minute of the match. Texeira Creus charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Texeira Creus the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 88th match minute, Guayacanes Fútbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Texeira Creus to maneuver through the defense. Camacho Escobedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santos Valdivieso in the 93rd minute of the match. After having played for 95 minutes, Hugo Velazco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Silante's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hugo Velazco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlos-Armando Arizabaleta struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Marcelino Ciscal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Silante. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Silante had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
