The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 44th minute, Lorenzo Balanza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hernandez Sopeña took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 45th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Oso Figueruela. Voltaje FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

A hard shot by Uxio Mescua from long distance, 53 minutes into the match, got Urbasa Planes's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. A collision led to Voltaje FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Ordóñez Guardiola hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in UD Calug's zone, Yoelvis Bierna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Urbasa Planes came out of the goal and Yoelvis Bierna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zuri Lario in the 72nd minute of play forced Voltaje FC's goalkeeper Oso Figueruela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Esteban Miñon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oso Figueruela having to interfere. Pedro Quiñones fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Urbasa Planes having to interfere. The supporters of Voltaje FC booed when UD Calug was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Morelle didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oso Figueruela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ovidio Asteguieta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Urbasa Planes was out of position in the 85 minute of play, and Yoelvis Bierna capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Yoelvis Bierna really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Yoelvis Bierna who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 89thth minute tested the skills of Urbasa Planes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, UD Calug's Fernando Morelle got a free kick in the 95th minute. The UD Calug fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Voltaje FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
