Klimovich Olivera was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 86 minutes into the match. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Guayacanes Fútbol Club's goalkeeper Marcelino Ciscal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 96 minutes into the match, Pedro Quiñones had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcelino Ciscal. Guayacanes Fútbol Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pedro Quiñones was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-4. Guayacanes Fútbol Club succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Voltaje FC had controlled the match.
