Lucio Ucedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Henry Cospedal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimmy Unzueta in the 19th minute of play forced IRIS FC's goalkeeper Henry Cospedal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 33 minutes into the match, IRIS FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jimmy Unzueta came free, but Henry Cospedal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Henry Cospedal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucio Ucedo in the 37th minute of the match. During the 38th minute of the match Jimmy Unzueta completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jimmy Unzueta a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of IRIS FC booed when S.D. RAYO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jimmy Unzueta didn't get a good kick on the ball. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Xacobo Melcon made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, S.D. RAYO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flavio Barbanera to maneuver through the defense. Lucio Ucedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. The shot was a little too simple and Henry Cospedal could save by the left post. 70 minutes into the match, IRIS FC's goalkeeper Henry Cospedal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucio Ucedo. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lucio Ucedo got free with Henry Cospedal in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
