Xeromo Llarena might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jan Oblak. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Xeromo Llarena ran back to his position shaking his head. Jan Oblak came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by KRAKEN FC's Xeromo Llarena. But to his dismay, Xeromo Llarena quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Jacobo Urraburu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Noriega Camposa in the 20th minute. In the 26th minute, Xeromo Llarena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jan Oblak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xeromo Llarena in the 27th minute of play. Vaguicio FC's Jan Oblak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xeromo Llarena in the 30th minute of play. In the 32nd minute Vincente Eguilaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Urraburu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Vaguicio FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jan Oblak should have stopped the shot. The supporters of KRAKEN FC booed when Vaguicio FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mariano Torre didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Xeromo Llarena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Vaguicio FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. KRAKEN FC were winning 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Xeromo Llarena to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, KRAKEN FC's Xeromo Llarena nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jan Oblak made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Xeromo Llarena received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jan Oblak came out and tried to block the shot, but Xeromo Llarena slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 59th minute. After a rather tough play, KRAKEN FC's Emmanuel Gigliotti got a free kick in the 63rd minute. 69 minutes into the match, Vaguicio FC's goal looked a bit too open when Xeromo Llarena came free, but Jan Oblak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. KRAKEN FC's Xeromo Llarena managed to work through Vaguicio FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Xeromo Llarena dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Fabian Sandoval received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Jan Oblak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Pico Esteban fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vaguicio FC's protests and gave Pico Esteban a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Vaguicio FC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Pico Esteban hit a great ball. Vaguicio FC's Jan Oblak proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save Vaguicio FC from getting a goal against them. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched KRAKEN FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
