After a rather tough play, Sal Rom F.C.'s Marcos Cortinas got a free kick in the 12th minute. Sal Rom F.C.'s Monge Lima proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Sal Rom F.C. from getting a goal against them. GiudeCCa's Tyron Mifsud played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santiago Sedeño in the 15th minute of play. Tyron Mifsud took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santiago Sedeño, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. GiudeCCa's Carlos-Alberto Loayza came free and shot a quick shot against goal 18 minutes in the game, fortunately Monge Lima had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Tyron Mifsud made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santiago Sedeño in the 19th minute of play. Tyron Mifsud showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santiago Sedeño in the 24th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 27 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Carlos-Alberto Loayza sped through Sal Rom F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Monge Lima. If Carlos-Alberto Loayza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute, Marcos Cortinas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Santiago Sedeño had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos-Alberto Loayza who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 41stth minute tested the skills of Monge Lima when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 44th minute GiudeCCa were awarded a corner. Victorino Landa went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Bagui Salceda heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Carlos-Alberto Loayza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Monge Lima read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Monge Lima showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos-Alberto Loayza in the 51st minute of the match. In the 54th minute Santiago Sedeño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tyron Mifsud saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tyron Mifsud was out of position in the 56 minute of play, and Santiago Sedeño capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Santiago Sedeño really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Monge Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos-Alberto Loayza in the 61st minute of play. Carlos-Alberto Loayza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Monge Lima having to interfere. Lucas Alberca helped the player get up and apologised. In the 83rd minute, one of Sal Rom F.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sal Rom F.C.. After 85 played minutes GiudeCCa got a freekick which was hit by Carlos-Alberto Loayza. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos-Alberto Loayza in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Monge Lima prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 91st minute, Carlos-Alberto Loayza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GiudeCCa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. In the 96th minute Casado Calvo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Monge Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. GiudeCCa had played much better football throughout.
