Roberto Bermudo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Oñatibia's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. When the match clock showed 10 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Daniel Oñatibia sped through River Plate's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Roberto Bermudo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urki Miras in the 14th minute of play forced River Plate's goalkeeper Roberto Bermudo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roberto Bermudo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joaquin Loredo went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The Ornopata fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when Ornopata's Daniel Oñatibia looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Roberto Bermudo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Urki Miras in the 26th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Joaquin Loredo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roberto Bermudo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. But to his dismay, Joaquin Loredo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joaquin Loredo made a kick off. Roberto Bermudo came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Ornopata's Joaquin Loredo. But to his dismay, Joaquin Loredo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Joaquin Loredo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 57thth minute, Roberto Bermudo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Roberto Bermudo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ricart Iturburu in the 58th minute. 63 minutes into the match, Ornopata's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacio Lauro came free, but Xan Descapa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ornopata made a substitution. Romero Ayerza replaced Ricart Iturburu. In the 69th minute of the match Ornopata got a corner. Pipo Inzaghi scored 0-8 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roberto Bermudo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 100 minutes River Plate's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mauro Vallines who took care of the corner kick. Ornopata's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
