An unexpectedly hard shot by Danilo Matamoros in the 20th minute of play forced Coropoya's goalkeeper Umbruso Mariño to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 22 played minutes Coropoya got a freekick which was hit by Mederi Tixido. Birjaio Urrejola's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Umbruso Mariño read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 28 minutes into the game, when Bernebe Cartagena put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 28th minute of the game. One of Cumaca FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Coropoya:s goal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Romildo Barbera to make the kick off. Cumaca FC's Sendoa Cenzano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romildo Barbera in the 70th minute of play. In the 85th minute Romildo Barbera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sendoa Cenzano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sendoa Cenzano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xayveon Villoria, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 90thth minute of the game Romildo Barbera who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cumaca FC's Sendoa Cenzano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Cumaca FC booed when Coropoya was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mederi Tixido didn't get a good kick on the ball.
